Without doubts, NIRSA outstands in its market due to its impressive and complete production plant. In Porsorja, where more than 2.500 employees from different parts of the country work, they process sardines, tuna, shrimp, fish oil and flour under the most strict and complete hygiene and quality control. To ensure the best quality under all their processes, the company acquired an electric plant which makes it auto sufficient. Additionally to its modern and efficient infrastructure, the company owns fishing vessels, which count with refrigeration chambers to conserve the fish under excellent conditions.

The tuna that is received in the plant, from private vessels and from third companies, is controlled by a Quality department before and during its unload to insure that the tuna is in their optimal quality; on the contrary, it is rejected. Once the tuna is accepted, it is selected by specie and weight for its traceability. Afterwards, it enters to the refrigerated chambers, which have a capacity of 11.000 TM, and continues to be cooked, cleaned, and canned so it can enter to retort to guarantee the product quality and life. The tuna is sold in different sizes and presentations such as water, oil and salads.

The sardines are received from private ships and from third companies. Once they are accepted by the quality department they are placed in tanks under R.W.S. system under 0 degrees. From here they pass to the production line, and as tuna, they are canned for local and foreign sell. The sardines are found in different sizes and come with tomato paste, oil or in salad.

Additionally, NIRSA owns 600 hectares for shrimp production, a laboratory for shrimp larva, and a processing plant. Its process is completely natural. Shrimps are sold worldwide head on, head off, peeled and deveined, breaded, breaded with coconut, in skewers, and with different flavours.

Thanks to its infrastructure, NIRSA can provide the raw material for its fish oil and flour processing plant, which its final products are distributed worldwide.
